================================================================
CURRENT "DEALS".
SISSY SPACEK + JAMES FELLA / TIMELOAD FOWL LP: $17.00ppd (USA).
ANY 5 GILGONGO SINGLES: $18ppd. (USA).
(for these, please manually send payment to: jamesfella@hotmail.com).
================================================================

(35.) JAMES FELLA - "Singular Set" (series) cassette - $5ppd
Each “volume” of the “Singular Set” series is limited to one. There is no “master” on another tape or hard
drive somewhere else. The 10-25 minutes of sound on each cassette was recorded directly to it, using a
stereo mixer’s output directly into the rear phono jacks of the deck, and more often than not, using
headphones rather than a monitor. The date and time of each cassette’ creation is marked on the spool
casing.

The idea behind this series is to create unique connections with people. There is a non-uniformity to the
approaches and feel, the range depending on mood and whatever devices are set up at any given moment,
but the emphasis is on reaching out and sharing something specific with one other person, that an
unrepeated portion of time and creation was individually cut and passed on to one other person to hold
onto as their own.

- $5ppd

(32). SISSY SPACEK - "Fortune" 7" - $5ppd.
An on going project of prolific artist John Wiese, SISSY SPACEK has taken many forms: intricate collages
of the small, quiet, details that trickle through in between “sound”, drums spliced and severed, 18 piece
“noise” orchestras, performances that included nothing but the act of shattering glass as source sound to
ones that result in broken basses and bleeding throats, etc. You never know how overblown and explosive
or incredibly quiet and intricate one specific release might be. On “Fortune”, Wiese has assembled a trio
with Charlie Mumma (drums) and Corydon Ronnau (vocals): crafting 26 songs of grind-core noise (like a
Crossed Out playing with malfunctioning gear). Corresponding singles also released on A Dear Girl Called
Wendy (Italy) and Ketchup Cavern (Canada).
MP3: 1/2 of "Fortune"'s B-Side.

- $5.00ppd

(31). JAMES FELLA / TIMELOAD FOWL - split LP - $14ppd.
James Fella (Soft Shoulder, Tent/City) offers a live recording from May 2009: Shifted sax, crackling electronics and skeletal guitar drifting across 18 minutes of crowded, Ye Olde Bike Saviors Co-Op living room sound. Debut vinyl release from Timeload Fowl, sound / noise project of the already established visual artist, R. Sawyer of San Luis Obispo: grim, bleak, but secretly meditative and beautiful.
Includes a collaboration with James that offers more of a thick brutal / buried approach. Short run LP, art by R. Sawyer (Rainbath Art).

MP3s:
samples from James' side | Timeload Fowl - collab with James Fella.

- $14.00ppd

(30). PIGEON RELIGION - "Dead Boss" 7" - $5ppd.
One of two simultaneously released debut 7”s from AZ’s Pigeon Religion, the other being on Parts Unknown. Wrecked
and abstract punk, which if you want to exclusively live in the distant past: a bit of a Flipper, later Black Flag and
Birthday Party hybrid of sorts, a mess that works it way through all senses. This band has played about 70 times in
their first year as a band: clearing out venues with 45 minute renditions of new tracks, clearing out intestines with
combinations of extreme volume and strobe lights that have constant speed changes, blowing away virtually every
band that they open for as they come through town and turning living rooms and basements into 1am destruction
zones on a regular basis. Co-released with Jarson International. MP3:
"Henderson".

- $5ppd

(27). STEPHEN STEINBRINK - "Ugly Unknowns" CD - $10ppd
STEPHEN STEINBRINK makes his 11 song debut release under his own name after playing and constantly touring as
FRENCH QUARTER for the past several years. His last full length has been a personal favorite and this new one has
shaped up to be the same. Blissful and uplifting survival songs recorded throughout Arizona at various friends' homes.
Urgent, sincere and real.  MP3's: STEPHEN STEINBRINK -
HUACHUCA CITY and WHEN IT'S EASIER

- $10ppd

Additionally: MP3s available at: ITUNES / EMUSIC / AMAZON.

(26). FOOT VILLAGE - "Fuck the Future 2" CD - $8ppd
In anticipation of their upcoming full length "Anti Magic" on Upset the Rhythm, LA's FOOT VILLAGE have compiled a
second batch of vinyl only tracks. Four humans (you know them from Gang Wizard, Friends Forever, Rose for Bodhan
and A++, and as members of 2008’s Boredoms 88 drummers performance) emerge from the apocalypse, exploring the
primitive wasteland and creative a new nation of their own, using only drums and their voices. Housed in a digipack
made using partially recycled material, with art work by Brittany Gould (Married In Berdichev!), "Fuck the Future 2" collects
the material from: their split LP with Black Pus (Deathbomb ARC / DNT), two recent 7”s (on Too Pure and Rock Is Hell), the
“Pisspounder” triple LP (w/ Sword Heaven, Aa, Grey Skull, Rainbow Blanket and Dreamhouse also on DBA) and the
recent, wild, collaboration 12” with Health, Captain Ahab and Jason Forrest on Ravesploitative,… assembled and
mastered together by Pete Swanson. MP3:
FOOT VILLAGE - "Bones".

- $8ppd

- $16ppd (package "deal" with the FOOT VILLAGE "Friendship Nation" LP)

Additionally: MP3s available at (SOON): ITUNES / EMUSIC / AMAZON.

(24). GAY BEAST - s/t 7" - $5ppd.
Released on the heels of an incredible second full length on Skin Graft (“Second Wave”), this single offers a classic /
ancient / much loved gem from early in their existence (called “Multi-Purpose Anti-Form”), and an incredible hectic dual
cover / splice (Dymaxion and The Need) on the tail end of the B-side. Noisey and spastic, yet much more so complex and
intricate, somewhere between Devo and Scissor Girls, but with a specific and special energy that is uncompromising
and legit. Beautiful four color tri-fold out covers done by the Beast’s Dan Luedtke. MP3s:
"Multi-Purpose, Anti-Form".

- $5ppd

(23). TENT/CITY- "Stinkweeds" CDr - $6ppd.
Amongst the earliest of TENT/CITY recordings, this disc features almost 80 minutes of sound recorded over several
months of midnight practices / jams at STINKWEEDS RECORDS in Tempe (RIP - though the Phoenix store still is going
strong)! Packaged with the disgusting rug that covered the stage, this release potentially comes with DNA from anyone
from June of 44 to Elliot Smith to Helium, and a lot of hot sauce from afternoon burritos too. Ranging from spaced out
atmospheric clatter to fairly aggressive moments and ending in two extended band pieces, including a number of area
musicians including Aaron Neber and Stephen Steinbrink / French Quarter,... this release covers a ton of improvised
ground for a band still in their early stages. Somewhere in the void between Wooden Wand and the Vanishing Voice,
the most abstract MV/EE moments and the free-sound works of Marion Brown.

TEMPORARILY OUT!

(22). HELL-KITE - "I Am Your Cabin, Live In Me" 7" - $5ppd.
Though usually a guitar/vocals style project, featuring heavy / gloomy (but beautiful) songwriting by recent Tempe
transplant Ann Marie Philipp,  "I Am Your Cabin..." features drums and vocals-only versions of four songs, conjuring
a Scout Niblett or Young People vibe, very minimal but sedative and uplifting. Features Soft Shoulder / Tent/City skinner,
John Ryan on drums. Keep an eye out for a full length and tons of touring in 2009. MP3:
HELL-KITE - "Cabin"

- $5ppd

(21). FOOT VILLAGE - "Friendship Nation" LP - $12ppd.
NEW FULL LENGTH LP from Los Angeles "post apocalyptic / electricity free hardcore" band, consisting of four drummers /
vocalists unleashing primal and brutally catchy scream-alongs. Members of destruction jam/van band FRIENDS FOREVER
(Load), free noise unit GANG WIZARD (Load/Ecstatic Peace/Gilgongo) and DEATHBOMB ARC mastermind Brian Miller. CD
version released in Europe on TOME. Alternate description: "Foot Village is the first nation built after the apocalypse. Foot
Village have a duty to rebuild the world, a new nation out of the ruins of civilization atop the ruins of Hell, after the oceans
have all evaporated. All we know so far is revealed on their first album World Fantasy, a collection of songs about other
countries. Now Foot Village have created their own country and the songs on Friendship Nation, recorded by Jonathan
Snipes of Captain Ahab"
.

MP3:
FOOT VILLAGE - "Materialist Crap"

- $12ppd

(19). MARRIEND IN BERDICHEV - s/t 7" - $6ppd.
MARRIED IN BERDICHEV is Brittany Gould, and is a vocal-based sound / noise project that spans the terrain between
soft and soothing and jagged and abrasive. Voices and organic sounds are looped and layered over each other,
sometimes providing the back bone of a GROUPER or INCA ORE type piece, but at other times, ricocheting into scathing
movements that tear through speakers and pierce ear drums, simultaneously beautiful and powerful

This two song 7” is MARRIED IN BERDICHEV’s first release outside of several self-released CDrs and an appearance
on the 2008 DEATHBOMB ARC TAPE CLUB (w/ Lucky Dragons, 16 Bitch Pile-Up, Hawnay Troof and more), and features
art created by and hand-screened by Brittany herself, is released alongside an October 2008 European tour
with KEVIN SHIELDS, and is limited to 300 copies.

Brittany is a former member of TRANSISTOR RADIO SOUND and has played a huge role in the Denver collective venue /
space RHINOCEROPOLIS and as MARRIED IN BERDICHEV, she has collaborated with other artists such as JANDEK (live),
KEVIN SHEILDS (as a duo called CALDERA LAKES), GLOCHIDS (live) and JAMES FELLA (of TENT/CITY, SOFT SHOULDER).
She has done various album and poster art for artists such as FRENCH QUARTER and FOOT VILLAGE. MP3:
"Feet In The Water".

- $6ppd

(18). LITTLE WOMEN - "Teeth" LP - $11ppd.
“Official BIO”: Brooklyn quartet Little Women formed two years ago to create music that blurs the line between structure
and spontaneity. The group’s sound distilled from a broad range of influences that stretch from classic Chicago free jazz
thru pop music, punk rock, math metal, and harsh noise. Little Women never stop pushing into new sonic territory: splitting
overtones to create ghost notes, violently disassembling their instruments onstage, and attacking written and improvised
material with equal ferocity. During performances band members often experience side-effects more commonly
associated with prescription drugs such as nausea, dizziness, and internal bleeding. Little Women stomp all over
genres, creating some of the most adventurous, in-the-moment, wrenchingly honest music of their generation.

"Teeth" is 20 minute piece, recorded in one long, single take, covering an impressive range of sound, and is an intense
and dynamic presentation of what they are doing as a band. Art work by MICK BARR (Orthrelm, Crom-Tech, Ocrilim, etc).

Also: Members of Little Women have recorded and/or performed with some of the top names in jazz/improvised music such
as: Anthony Braxton, Steve Lacy, Mark Dresser, Jim Black, Trevor Dunn, Dave Liebman, Joe Lovano, George Garzone,
Chad Hugo (The Neptunes), Gerry Hemingway, Joe Morris, Matt Wilson, Michael Formanek, Mat Maneri, and Dave Koz.
Members of Little Women also play in bands such as Zs, Extra Life, Cutter, Period, Archaeopteryx.

- $11ppd

(17). BRI WHITE / JAMES FELLA - split 7" - $5ppd.
Split 7" from two busy-bodies from Arizona. BRI WHITE (Flux Conquistador, Foot Ox), who usually creates pretty
piano based singer-songwriter music, offers a six minute piece which is both beautiful and haunting (primarily
using a weird piano / violin hybrid instrument called a pianolin, which is obscure enough to not even have an
article on wikidpedia about it), and falls somewhere between the blurry lines of Spires That in the Sunset Rise and
White Magic. (She is currently up in Portland)! JAMES FELLA (Soft Shoulder, Tent/City) offers layers of clarinet, guitar,
vocal-based sound and noise in a piece that is much more calm and quiet than the majority of his usual sound / noise /
splice work. Full color covers enveloping thick blue (w/ splashes of white) vinyl.

- $5ppd

(16). FRENCH QUARTER - s/t LP+CD - $12ppd. CD version is $10ppd.
FRENCH QUARTER is Stephen Steinbrink from Phoenix, AZ. After releasing and selling out of several DIY / handmade
recordings (both done on his own and by labels such as Arbor and C-Salt), this self-titled LP, which comes with a CD
version inside, is his first properly issued recording, and comes highly anticipated by anyone who has seen him on one
of his excursions across various parts of the country. Stephen crafts memorable, vocal based songs using a
variety of approaches and methods while maintaining a smooth consistency in sincerity, making these 10 songs an
engaging and moving listen. Though comparable to others from past and present, (Neil Young? Woods? The
Microphones? Karl Blau?) and despite his young age, Stephen is hard at work creating his own set  of unique songs
that feel like old friends upon first listen. Other notes: Brittany Gould (of Married in Birdichiev fame, Rhinoceropolis
(Denver venue) co-runner) painted the art for this release. FRENCH QUARTER did a full US tour in late fall. This LP
comes out in between that and another full US tour in early winter 2008. MP3s: FRENCH QUARTER -
"Stay" and "For Andy".

(LP w/ CD inside) - $12ppd

(CD version, "jewel case" slightly different art). - $10ppd

Additionally: MP3s available at: ITUNES / EMUSIC / AMAZON.

(13). ZS - "BUCK" CD - $10ppd. (Buy with ZS - "Arms" LP for $17ppd, see below --->(11) ).
Fifty minutes of live recordings from New York City prog/jazz/math kings Zs. Previous releases on Troubleman
and Planaria. Pieces which range from long and scattered minimalism to pieces which showcase their ability to
craft fast paced mind-numbingly complex compositions. For fans of everything from Upsilon Acrux to Steve
Reich to Flying Luttenbachers. MP3:
ZS - "Pendulum"

- $10ppd

(12). SOFT SHOULDER - "2 Song Hit Single" 7" - $5ppd.
Two new songs from Arizona's SOFT SHOULDER, who play loud and noisy but equally catchy no-wave post-
punk (X-Ray Spex, Contortions, Sleetmute Niightmute). The A-Side being one of the original set's staple, "Mary Ann",
which originally surfaced in the form of a music video on a DNT VHS compilation with Shearing Pinx and others. The
B-Side is a slightly longer piece, the old set's staple closer, with a long, clean and broken bridge over trouble skronk.
Handmade covers (spray-paint, stencils, collages, burns, stains, ect) made by the band.

- $5ppd

(11). ZS - "Arms" LP. $12ppd (or with Zs - "Buck" live CD, $17ppd).
Simultaneously complex and minimal, avant-garde post-jazz composers, ZS new full length "Arms" offers nearly 50
minutes of insane new studio recordings. "Brooklyn quartet Zs play the real hard, real minimal, real painstakingly
worked-out rock etudes that kids with beards and concentrated stares prick up their ears for. However, the real
news is, this stuff actually does rock, though perhaps not as ragingly as bands to who they're likely to be compared
(Orthrelm, Don Caballero, Flying Luttenbachers). It helps that I first heard Zs live: four guys (drums, guitar,
guitar+keyboard, saxophone) seated facing each other, sheet music and stand-lights illuminating some very focused
faces, and playing stuff that pounded a lot more than you might think given the monkish air of the room". - Dominique
Leone / pitchforkmedia.com. Vinyl version of the new full length studio recording, an initial run of 500 on opaque white.
CD version available from Planaria Records. MP3:
ZS - "B is for Burning"

- $12ppd

- LP and "Buck" CD $17ppd

(10). BABY GECKO / SOFT SHOULDER - split 7" - OUT OF PRINT
HOWEVER, NOTE: Trying to get some copies from Macro-Eden, who co-released the record.
7 songs on a split 7" from two Arizona bands. Flagstaff's BABY GECKO were ex-members of the over-the-top
PONIES (Doggponey Records) and played short and catchy songs with a poppy Big Black feel to them (somehow).
SOFT SHOULDER: Tempe-based no-wave punk / noise, along the lines of X-Ray Spex meets Contortions meets
Sonic Youth with free jazz / feedback total breakdowns. Awesome output from Arizona's DIY scene.
MP3:
BABY GECKO - "Paint the Streets"

(9). SHEARING PINX - "POISON HANDS" - $10ppd.
Full-length recording from Vancouver, Canada's no-wave take on Unwound. A reissue of a double 3-inch CDR,
originally released by Not Not Fun. After nearly 30 CDr and cassette releases over the past two years, this was the
gem that shined through. Noisy and catchy and fun. “Gnarly skronk-shred jams that morph into free shriekback
post-jazz dead-zones.” Featuring members of Channels 3+4 and In-Flux and the head-honcho behind the beyond
rad short-run / vanity label, Isolated Now Waves. MP3s: SHEARING PINX - "
New Gospel" and "Cursed Heart Matter".

- $10ppd

(8). FATHERS DAY - "I DON'T WANT TO DO THIS" 7" - 5.000ppd.
Wall of noise thrash punk played by four Phoenix youth who take on the roles of various cliché father figures (Golf
Dad, Business Dad, Drunk Dad, Classy Dad). 30 second - minute long songs about DAD STUFF, like finding out your
son is playing Dungeons and Dragons after school and not actually going to baseball practice, or how the "hot new
secretary" is "just a friend"! Several newer studio tracks, three live cuts, including their OLD SKULL tribute, and their
infamous set-ending piano ballad, "sometimes". Find out why this band managed to get banned from a few PHX
venues like it's the early 80's all over again. 100% fun, seriously. MP3s:
"This Really Happened"

- $5ppd

(7). GEORGE MOSHINGTON - "177-Fuck You" 7" - $5.00ppd.
8 songs of fast colonial punk rock from this Phoenix, Arizona band featuring members of Where Eagles Dare. 3 new
tracks on the A side with their entire 5 song demo crammed on the back. If you're idea of awesome cover art includes
a cut and paste collage of Mickey Mouse wearing a KKK mask while giving a blow job to George W. Bush (decked out
in a Nazi uniform), this one is for you! Up da punx!

- $5ppd

(5). TENT/CITY - "Drought" one-sided LP - TEMPORARILY OUT!
(additional photos: (
front) (back) (record).
Tent City play free-form sound / music; broken folk meeting crackling noise, somewhere between artists such as
Wooden Wand and the Vanishing Voice, Don Cherry, The Dead Machines and The Davenport Family. Twenty minute
live set recorded in Feb. 2006 at a show in Phoenix, AZ with The Dead Science, after one of the longest recorded
droughts in Phoenix history. Limited to 330, "Drought" is Tent/City's first "proper" record, following several short-run and
sold-out releases on Not Not Fun and Night People, and is a one-sided clear record, the B-side being multi-screened and
color-blended. This labor of love was a long-time in the making and is finally ready to be unleashed.

NEW ARRIVALS!
=========================================================
ARTIST TITLE FORMAT LABEL COST DESCRIPTION
GOWNS - "The Dangers of Intimacy" LP (Folktale) $10 (beautiful murky and breathy folk noise, reissued on vinyl for the first time. I love this band a ton).
BILL ORCUTT - "A New Way to Pay Old Debts" LP $10 (Palilalia) (Self released, incredible LP from Harry Pussy guitarist, busting out a spazzy noodle/clang of weird no-
wave/folk? Strangely beautiful at the same time too. RECOMMENDED!).
LITTLE GOLD - "On The Knife" LP (Adagio830) $14 (At one time slated to be on Gilgongo, the debut release from Christian from Meneguar / Woods of yesteryear. Well
crafted folk that at times ventures into nearly alt/country territory, though with the familiar warmth of the earliest Woods material).
ORDINATION OR AARON - discography 2xLP (Adagio830) $19 (well done collection of output from one of the 90's emo-era's bests).
HANNA HIRSCH - "Tala Svart" LP (Adagio830) $12 (female fronted Swedish punk / power-pop, accessible but valid, super / ultra catchy).
GLASSES - s/t LP (Vendetta) $12
HARAM - "Drescher" LP (Adagio830) $12 (second LP from the ex-PG. 99 and Majority Rule unit that cranks out some smoother-end Hot Snakes style guitar / rock).
DESIRE “II” LP Italians Do It Better $14.00 (Members of and in a similar vein to Glass Candy, beautiful and addictive cold/soul dance with some secret call and response
dialog that hooks you forever (like, forever ever)).
SISSY SPACEK “Empatis” 7” A Dear Girl Named Wendy $7.00 ((mis-priced last time, sorry!) part of the trio of new Sissy Spacek noise/core singles alongside “Fortune” on
Gilgongo).

RACCOO-OO-OON 2xlp (re) Not Not Fun $20.00 RESTOCK
WET HAIR new LP Not Not Fun $13.00 (new full length from ½ of Raccoo-oo-oon. Like a primitive basement New Order).

RECOMMENDED: Definitely the Bill Orcutt LP, it's a trip, a strangely beautiful thing that is also totally fucked. The Filthy Grin tape is still on constant rotation over here, the
best "synth music" I've heard in awhile, perfect for any mood / situation / person. Sludgy at times, pulsing at others, ambient and light when wanting to be, ect. The three
Random Cuts 7"s need to be name-dropped again, because they are truly that great, and that new Shearing Pinx is well done and secretly mature. The Desire LP, if you dig
Glass Candy and the Italians Do It Better crew, you need to purchase this, immediately.

RUSSIAN TSARLAG / LESSON LESSON split 7” West Palm Beotch $5.00 (RT's lofi garbage pop my have finally been outdone in weirdness by the slurpy sludgy spoken track from Lesson Lesson Lessen Relearn. These two should collaborate)
BLACK CAT #13 / FEMME COVERT split 7” Punx Crunks $5.00 (super questionable record, let's just say that while I am stoked that Black Cat #13's Phantom Pregnancies cover recorded in 2000 finally made it on a record, I would have gotten some okays and not made it a split with a new project. I heard the rest of these were pulled / trashed? Don't know / don't care: I paid for these wholesale and sent them copies for the members that might not have already had one. Ect ect ect.
